Birthday card

A failed meringue dessert (that eventually ended up as candy snacks in a jar) followed by an even worse cake… At last I got my guests that came to mourn that another year of my life has passed fed and happy. (Why can’t the years start calculating backwards?) I should definitely consider retiring from my sub-career as a pastry cook. My skills have definitely not improved lately. On the contrary. So now I’m sitting here, eating up what’s left of the fresh strawberries… Speaking of getting older, here’s another birthday card I made.lena I’ve used the Vintage Summer Basics collection by Maja Design. The vintage image is from Pion Design.lena2 All flowers, doily and ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts.lena3 And a look on the inside…lena4 The border is actually made with a paper scrap from the Coffee In The Arbour collection…lena5And the other side…

I also need to show you something that my dear friend Ingrid Gooyer sent me some time ago.Isn’t it the cutest? I had the cake as a table decoration today. It looked a whole lot better then the real one. :)

Enjoy your weekend, more cards are coming up! I got a whole bunch of new edge dies I just need to try. :)Jenny

Oh my Ingrid. You really didn’t have to. You already sent me that wonderful cake of yours. But I’ll stalk my mailman. I’m curious. :) Thank you.
