I love Christmas caroling. I used to sing Christmas carols all year around. I keep my old choir notes in a very old worn out file and I thought they deserved a nicer packaging. So I grabbed an old cell phone box and started to alter it…
This is the top of the lid…
A little close up… The whole box is surrounded by that wonderful broad lace.
I couldn’t help myself but using a Tim Holtz wordband that says “Embrace Imperfection”. It’s always a bit tricky to alter boxes that are not always meant to be altered… This is a part of the lid and I’ve used two different Maja Christmas collections for it. Just love how you can combine them like that.
And here we go. This is what the box looks like when it’s opened. I’ve used the gorgeous lace again. The song texts are in the ring binder. I haven’t decorated them so they can easily be taken out and used without have to worry about decorations.
Close up of the decorations of the inside of the box.
I have two songs on the first spread since I chose not to show any lyrics when you open up the box.
So on the other spreads there are just one song for each spread.
Here’s the third spread. I have used several different patterned papers for the left side and also for the lyrics. Ironically the lyrics are printed on the Vintage SUMMER Basics collection! They go so well with Vintage Winter and Gammaldags Jul. So I have actually used three different Maja collections for the box.
The box contains in total 16 different Christmas carols.
