And the winner is…
And the winner is…
After three years and exactly one day I’m celebrating the 150 000 visitors that has made their way to my little corner of the world. It’s absolutely insane and I’m very surprised and thankful for the attention. I’m closing the old Kottens Corner blog and have moved in at jenny.grotherus.com instead. I hope you will continue to visit me and like it here.
No party without presents, so I’m having a HUGE giveaway for you. Actually the biggest one I’ve ever had. How about winning ALL FOUR amazing Vintage Basics collections by Maja Design? All in all, 108 double-sided patterned papers! MSRP 2 USD each! Yes, these collections are enormous and they are waiting for your greedy hands. Just take a look at these beauties…
All you have to do is leave a comment on this posting and start following this blog plus Maja Design. I will draw one lucky winner March 1st.
I hope you haven’t missed the giveaway that’s going on over at the Maja blog? Take a chance to win the new stunning Vintage Autumn Basics collection…
The large grandfather’s clock in the library has just chimed six o’clock. The deep sound has started to fade away while the Autumn darkness spreads its wings. Some heritage photos lie on the heavy library table together with grandmother’s old books and grandfather’s music papers. Memories of a time gone by.
The window ledge is covered by frost. The first snowflakes of the season find their way to the ground as the children play outside. They raise their heads towards the sky and welcome them with joy. The summer has passed us for this time.
The quiet, peaceful Autumn is a time to reflect and capture your memories. Sit by the window and see how nature is slowly going to sleep, all while you are scrapping your best memories from the past.
Vintage Autumn Basics is the third ‘Basics Collection’ in the series. The colours reflect this twilight time of year, but are still mixable with the other Basics collections. These papers have been designed to enhance your family’s treasured memories and strong heritage, but with a reminder to live in the present.
For full details about the giveaway, make sure you stop by the Maja blog for your chance to win.
Don’t miss the new giveaway on the Maja blog where you can win both the Vintage Spring and the Vintage Summer collections.

I know, I know. I’m a bit late, but if you wait for something good it might be worth the waiting…
The time has come to draw the Vintage Spring Basics giveaway winner. One lucky girl will end up with this new fabulous collection, consisting of 30 two-sided pages with gorgeous spring colours.
And the winner is…
Big congrats! Please e-mail me (my e-mail address can be found in the “About me” section) your address and I’ll send the collection to you asap.
A big hug to all participants and have a great Easter!
Time flies when you are having fun. I started this blog just to be able to enter a giveaway. I never ever expected anyone to come and actually visit me. Two years has passed and I’m now celebrating 100 000 visitors. How about that…
To celebrate this little occasion I’m giving away the new Vintage Spring Basics collection by Maja Design. So fresh it hasn’t reached the stores yet…
To enter the giveaway you need to do the following…
My mojo has been very invisible the past months. Too much work going on and a lot of private stuff too. However, I know that there are a lot of Maja fans all over the world who are a bit frustrated that it’s difficult to get your hands on these beauties. We are adding stores to our store finder, one by one. I know at least one US store has been added lately, unfortunately no Canadian one yet. The best you can do is to ask your LSS to become a retailer. All information about how to become a retailer is available at the Maja site.
Meanwhile I’d like to share the information that two of my colleagues at Maja are having giveaways on their separate blogs.
Andrea is giving away the 6×6 pad from the Walking In The Forest collection.
Don’t forget that I’m publishing a new mood board at the Maja blog on Tuesday. This mood board has a Valentine’s/wedding theme and romantic fool as I am I couldn’t resist making a little project myself. Lucky the nights are long.
My in-laws had quite a laugh this morning. Surprised, but happy they opened the door when we ringed the bell, carrying a cake and a present. It turned out that Father’s Day is next weekend, not today. Talk about stressful people with too much going on at the same time.
Luckily I haven’t mixed up the dates when it comes to my Maja giveaway. Today it’s time to let random.org help me draw four lucky winners who will win the new It’s Christmas Time collection.
The first winner, who wins the 12×12 papers is…
PS Tack för svaret hos mig om jag inte redan sagt det, nu är jag ännu mer sugen på de fina papprena!!
Big congrats to Birgit, Lynne and Ashley as well! Please send me your addresses and I will send you your papers.
A big thanks to all the participants. I appreciate that you have taken the time to stop by. Have a great Sunday and take care!
I have barely finished my Walking In The Forest giveaway when it’s time for the next one. A lot of things happening at once, but as long as they are good-let’s keep them coming!
I’ve got some really good news considering this giveaway. Since it is Christmas times and we all have tons of Christmas cards to make I’m going to make this giveaway bigger then it usually is…
One lucky winner will win all the 12×12 papers from the It’s Christmas Time collection. THREE lucky winners will win one 6×6 paper pad each from the same collection.
Perfect for your Christmas cards. More information about how you can win these goodies later in this posting.
And to give you some extra inspiration I’ve created a Christmas layout. That doesn’t happen very often so bare with me…
The lamppost and the Santa are from the old Gammaldags Jul collection by Maja Design, otherwise all papers are from the It’s Christmas Time collection. I started out using Ingvild Bolme’sbackground tutorial, but I’m not sure how much I really used it in the end. LOL.
I have used a lot of Perfect Pearls on this layout. I hightlighted the lamp in the lamppost with some gold, I’ve also done that on the stamped Holly border. The girl on the photo is my niece Jessica.
I love the rustic feeling you get from these papers, I like to give it an extra touch by using ordinary cheap string that you can find in any department store. The title “Christmas has arrived” comes from one of the strips. Maja Design papers always have borders on the backside of the EAN code so you can actually use them. Some of them are just patterns, some are text in Swedish, some in English.
I just need to add a close up of the snow on the flowers. I just love love love Aleene’s Glitter Snow. I bought it for a mini-album last winter, What I Hate About Winter. It turned out to be quite useful and now I add it here and there on winter/Christmas stuff.
My new friend Katja, who absolutely loves gold, inspired me to do a golden layout. A combo of rustic and gold… I think it worked out. The sleigh has been altered with Gesso, two colours of Inka Gold, a layer of Crackle Accents and finally some distress ink on top.
I’ve used Texture Paste for the doily and then added three colours of Perfect Pearls.
I’ve added pieces of a napkin to the cardstock, using Gesso on top. I’ve stamped randomly with a textstamp and added some Perfect Pearls here and there. The leaves has been embossed with an embossing folder, cut out and colourized with Perfect Pearls.
I made a brick wall template with my Gazelle. I ruined it on purpose so it wouldn‘t look to perfect before I added Texture Paste. I’ve painted the bricks with different colours of Distress Markers.
And here are some other creations using this collection…
All you need to do to participate in the giveaway is to become a follower, if you are not already following me, and leave a comment on this posting.
That’s it. I will draw the winners on November 4th.Good luck!
