Xmas comes early + Maja Design giveaway

I’m having a treat for you today. How about winning the brand new Walking In The Forest collection by Maja Design? It is so new that it’s not even on the Maja Design site yet! More about that later in this posting. First I’m going to show you another Walking In The Forest creation.

I know I’ve scrapped this photo before, but here we go again. This is me at our hotel in Salt Lake City last year. As it was my birthday I got to choose what to do that day. Not hard to guess what I chose. We had so much stuff with us when we were going home we had to pay for an extra bag. Never happened before.

I love the new letter die cut sheet. I’ve been so waiting for that!

I had a lot of fun making this layout. Love that butterfly stamp, it’s so gorgeous.

Another detail. I think that the paisley paper Cozy Scarf is my number one favourite from this collection.

And a final close up… Details about what supplies I’ve used can be found in the bottom of this posting. Now to the giveaway…

Like I wrote above, the collection is so new that it’s not even on the Maja site yet. So to give you a clue of what you can win, here’s my own little photo again.

What I truely love about the Maja collections, besides from the sturdiness, is that they are so usable. This is an autumn collection, but the papers are so versatile you might as well use them all year around. The quality of the patterns are so good, simply because Marie draw every paper by hand. No cheating here.

This giveaway contains the entire Walking In The Forest collection that will be sent to one happy winner. It consists of 18 wonderful twosided 12×12 papers, all in true Maja vintage style.

All you need to do to win this incredible collection is to become a follower (if you are not already following me) and to leave a comment on this posting before midnight (CET) October 13th.

I will draw one winner October 14th. The giveaway is of course open to everybody, all over the world!

Here are two other creations made with this fabulous collection… For more information about the layouts, just click on the link.

Hubby went to pick up our mail and came back with an envelope posted in the US. It turned out that sweet Rochelle, who won the Vintage Summer Basics giveaway, had sent me the cutest tag.

Isn’t she a darling? The embossing doesn’t show on photo, but it’s really cool. Reflects in different colours.

Thank you so much Rochelle, I really appreciate it.

Winner Maja Design giveaway

The rain is still pooring outside and it feels like the giveaway I announced a couple of weeks ago to cheer you up is more needed then ever.

A big thanks to all of you Maja fans who have participated in this giveaway. Unfortunately there can only be one winner and this time the Life In The Country collection goes to…

Maja Design giveaway!

The weather is SO depressing. If you live in Sweden you can hardly believe it’s summer. It’s raining all the time. So to cheer you all up a bit and bring some sunshine into your rainy lives I’m posting a new Maja giveaway. This time we’re going to take a little dive into my childhood memories on the Swedish countryside.

This giveaway contains the entire Life In The Country collection (Lantliv in Swedish) that will be sent to one happy winner. It consists of 18 wonderful twosided 12×12 papers, all in true Maja vintage style. To be quite honest I think the backside of Maja papers are so well designed that I often like them just as much (if not even more) then the front. Many of my favourites are actually backside papers. That says something about the quality of the design… To see all the papers in the collection, you can take a look here.

All you need to do to win this incredible collection is to become a follower (if you are not already following me) and to leave a comment on this posting.

I will draw one happy winner July 15th. The giveaway is of course open to everybody, all over the world!

Here are some examples of what you can do with this cozy collection. To see more photos of the projects, just click on the link…

Good luck!

And the winner is…

I’m completely overwhelmed by the response I’ve had on my giveaway. I want to thank each and everyone of you for taking the time to participate and drop by my blog. I wish I could send you all this beautiful collection, but no contest without a winner…

I thought I’d make something different, so here’s a little live movie of me drawing the winner… Not so serious though… :)

Here’s a little description of the box I made…

I used an old chocolate box and decorated it with pink papers from Vintage Summer Basics. The lid consists of 1923, 1921 and my huge favourite 1910. All papers have been distressed with Distress Ink Pumice Stone.

Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. I distressed them with Distress Ink Pumice Stone and sprayed them with Smooch Spritz Vanilla. Pearls from Zva Creative. Butterfly has been cut out with a Martha Stewart punch.

Flowers from Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts. The gorgeous bling lace and well are from Prima as well. The pink butterfly has been sprayed with Smooch Spritz Vanilla.

I just love these metal feet by Tim Holtz. I think they are among the best Idea-ology things he has made. I have used a Martha Stewart punch called Doily Lace for the border around the box.

Inside of the box. I have used 1923, 1921 and a lot of patience. :)

Vintage Summer Basics giveaway!

Time really flies when you are having fun! I still can’t believe it, but last week I passed 50 000 visitors on my blog and I thought that needed some celebration. So I have got a real treat for you today…

How about winning the ENTIRE Vintage Summer Basics collection by Maja Design. As you might now, the Maja collections are huge! This time it consists of 30 twosided papers that’ll give you 60 different patterns with gorgeous vintage feeling.

The collection has not reached the stores yet, it’s so new that it hasn’t even been published on the Maja Design site! So to give you a hint of what it’s all about, take a look HERE.

All you have to do is…

  • Become a follower (if you’re not already are following me…)
  • Leave a comment on this posting

I will draw a winner May 1st, so good luck!

I’m also posting my latest layout from this gorgeous collection. Here’s Oops… I did it again

It’s no secret that I usually do a lot of shopping when I go to the US. I spent my birthday on an outlet outside Salt Lake City last year. When we got back to the hotel I spread out all my new clothes on the bed and crawled up on it and made hubby take an arranged photo where I was supposed to look shocked over all my purchases. But two seconds later my true nature showed and I looked as pleased as ever can be and of course he took another photo.

The lovely background is called 1932. I have sprayed the lower parts of it with Glimmer Mist Tattered Leather.

The photo may not show it properly, but the bed is totally filled up with clothes! The chipboard was found at a Panduro outlet last summer. I have painted it with Crackle Paint Walnut Stain. The paper in the circle is called 1899. Sticker letters from Mrs Grossmann. The brown punched paper is called 1905 and has been punched with the Punch Around The Page set Cherish by Martha Stewart.

The violin has been cut out from 1899. I have distressed 1891 with my Distrezz It All and used Distress Ink Walnut Stain for the edges. I have used Memories for the photo mat.

Flower from Prima Printery, key by Tim Holtz, doily from LSS. The acryllic transparency is from the Londonerry collection by Prima. Bling from Zva Creative. I have used a Tim Holtz stamp called Speckled Background with Distress Ink Walnut Stain. I just love the way that stamp talks with the 1891 paper. It’s like they’re designed to be together. Did you know that 1891 among other things consists of Marie’s granddads old poems? I think that is so cool. Very personal.

Ha! Just had to add a close up on the photo. It is so revealing. I don’t have any poker face whatsoever. I’m like an open book. I cut out the photo with a Nestabilities die (Large Circles) and the background from 1905 using another Nestabilities die called Lacey Circles.

Ribbon and lace from LSS, roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. Don’t remember where I got the eyelets. The ribbon has been colourized with Distress Stain Walnut Stain. So usable when you don’t have the right colour of your ribbon.

Here’s the tag with the hidden journaling. I have used an EK Success punch for the corners, 1891 and 1899. The journaling reads…

It’s not exactly news that it’s shop ’til you drop on my US journeys
But when we arranged this photo in Salt Lake City in 2011 it was supposed to look shocking.
But hubby caught me off guard when I’m showing my true nature. That smug face of mine truely declares one thing…

No regrets
