So the baby alarm gave up last night. No wonder, it fell off the stroller without me noticing it, and was condemned to a number of horrifying hours out in rain and thunder. I was going to look for the receipt to see how old it was when I found tons of lovely comments on my blog postings in my spam folder. I haven’t seen them until now, but I immediately removed the spam filter. I do appreciate all your positive thoughts and comments. So sorry for not getting back to you.
Wishing you a lovely weekend…
The lanterns are burning on the porch, the house is filled up with people. Lucia is here with all the delicious pastries and mulled wine. Christmas is approaching and I just want to to wish you all a very nice evening. I hope you’ve listened to wonderful caroling and had tons of Lucia cats.
We are both wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We struggled for quite a while, both you and me, but now you are finally here…
He arrived this Wednesday, 23rd of October, 08.53 AM. He was 54 cm tall and weighed 3665 grams. We are still in hospital when I’m writing this. Hopefully we will be able to go home soon…
As you probably know Google Reader is shutting down this summer. So don’t forget to import the blogs you are following in another reader. I’ve added the option to follow me with Bloglovin so you will not miss anything…
I’m often contacted by readers who ask me where they can buy Maja Design papers. There is a store finder at the Maja Design site that lists stores all over the world selling Maja Design. It is frequently updated, so don’t be disappointed if you can’t find a store near you. The list is growing by the day. But the best you can do is ask your favourite online store or LSS to bring Maja in. The site includes all information they need about how to become a retailer.
Here are some of the Maja collections to give you some inspiration. But don’t forget that ALL Maja collections on our site are in stock, available for shipping.
Today I’ve got a real treat for you… A little sneak of Maja Design’s upcoming spring collection Vintage Spring Basics.
It will start shipping in February, so make sure you don’t miss it.
We got busy doing other work so we never made it to the show during Sunday. But on Monday morning we were back again.
It’s hard to step inside when it’s such a blue sky when you know that snow is waiting for you back home.
What could be a better start of the day then sneaking up behind Tim Holtz?
The idea-ology booth. So fantastic.
How can you not love Graphic 45?
We saw so many fantastic creations made by so many talented artists…
Marie went looking for books at Barnes and Nobles after seeing this…
We found this pastel garden party booth that was absolutely gorgeous. Lawns and everything…
Marie’s fixing up our last sample books.
This is my first time to the US where I haven’t really suffered from jetlag. A couple of hours Friday morning, that’s it. I’ve been working from five in the morning until midnight every day but Friday, so I guess that must be the recipe. Hard work and you sleep like a baby.
Tonight we are going home, leaving LA. It’s been a lot of fun and we’ve learned a lot.
I never got the chance to blog yesterday… We went to San Diego in the morning and didn’t come back to the hotel until 11 PM. The sun was shining and it was really warm outside. We headed for the Cabrillo National Monument and arrived around lunchtime. It was so nice to just have a coffee and some cakes (yes, there’s a lot of fika when Marie is around) in the sun.
We just sat there and enjoyed the beautiful views and enjoyed the sun. After all hard work we’ve done the last months it felt like we really deserved it.
It was nice to just sit by the water and soak it all in.
Marie is very camera shy, but I caught her off guard.
In the afternoon we headed for an outlet to do some shopping. Naturally we passed a Michaels store and went in to get some ribbon for our sample books. We didn’t stay long, but long enough to get caught in the heavy traffic. Sigh. We knew it, but forgot about it. We arrived at the outlet, tired as can be but still managed to get more shopping bags then we could carry. I don’t know what it is, but something strange happens to you when you smell the outlet air. We went back to the hotel and had a very late dinner before heading for bed.
Finally. CHA. I don’t know for how long I’ve dreamed about going there. And when the day finally arrived. Hmm. We got stuck in my room, Marie fixing up the sample books. Me taking care of some Maja work online. We thought we were going to be first in line, but didn’t get there until 11.30.
We couldn’t believe it. After all hard work we’ve done to put together our vintage outfits we had to wear bright pink AND red badges. And we got the most hideous green bag. That made me SOOO depressed. It didn’t go too well with my valances and lace. You can’t see much of them on the photo though.
Actually. The tunic is Marie’s. The Life In The Countryside collection was partly influenced by it. She wore the same model but in lilac. One of the Fika papers was influenced by her tunic. So we were very Maja today. But people turned their heads and talked about our clothes so I guess we must have done something right.
And then finally… the tradeshow.
It was so much fun walking around, soaking it all in. We met some really nice people and had a really nice day…
Well. Time for bed.
