Updated distress ink tag pad

I have made a little update on my Distress Ink tag pad. Now with the new seasonal distress colours included (Fall and Winter).

The new ones have been cut out with the Gazelle as well and I have continued to distress half of the tag and stamp the other half. I think it works great since the colours are not quite the same if you stamp compared to distress.

Christmas tag

You can really tell that it is autumn over here. It is impossible to photograph in the evenings, it’s pitch black. So here’s a christmas tag I made yesterday.

I have used the new Christmas Emporium from Graphic 45. I have stapled the envelope that holds the tag. Lace from Marikas.

I distressed the tag in the pocket with Distress Ink Walnut Stain. I also painted it with Crackle Paint Walnut Stain. I used a Tim holtz embossing folder on a piece of cream cardstock and then distressed the pattern with Distress Ink Antique Linen. The frame has been cut out with Nestabilities and distressed with Walnut Stain and Antique Linen.

I have designed the God Jul (Merry Christmas) stamp myself and ordered it from a stamp company. Ribbon from Tant Scrappa.

I thought I’d use the tag as a christmas card…

Autumn tag

I was going to make some christmas decorations, but then I looked out the window and got so happy by all the beautiful autumn colours so I put that aside and made an autumn tag instead…

This is a total dream of experiments and inky fingers and was actually a pretty quick one too.

I stamped the background with a Tim Holtz stamp (Distress Ink Black Soot) and ran it through a Tim Holtz embossing folder. I Inked it with Distress Ink Tea Dye, Rusty Hinge and Forest Moss.

I cut out the leaves with my Gazelle on green cardstock. I stamped them with another Tim Holtz stamp and distressed them with Rusty Hinge. The bingoboard has been stamped (Tim Holtz again+Rusty Hinge) on a piece of white cardstock that I’ve distressed with Forest Moss.

I took a piece of white glossy paper and added a lot of glue to it. Then I added a lot of Perfect Pearls (Copper and Green Patina) to it together with glitter from Martha Stewart (Brownstone and Fire Opal). I used an embossing tool to dry it and then I cut it through a Nestabilities frame.

The wheel and the ribbon is from Tim Holtz as well.

The swirl in the background is a cardstock that has been run through an embossing folder (Tim Holtz again) and then distressed with Distress Ink Shabby Shutters, Forest Moss and Rusty Hinge.

The tape in the foreground is stamped with Distress Ink Forest Moss on a piece of surgical tape. It says “to be all that is possible we must attempt the impossible. to be all that we can be, we must dream of being more.”

I hope you got inspired. Have a great autumn day!

What´s important to me

I finally bought the Pion collection Studio of Memories in a local store yesterday. I really couldn´t resist it.

I´ve been thinking a lot lately about what´s really important in life. Everybody keeps running around working 24 hours a day. I´m no exception. I live my life in a very high tempo and always has. So last night when the rain kept pouring I made a tag pad for myself to remind me of what matters most to me.

You can see the bottom tag to the left where it says “What is important to me”.

The first tag is called Time. I live my life by minutes. I guess time is a “love to hate you” situation. Hubby always says that we don´t need any clocks around the house because I always know what time it is. That´s true. I do. I´ve been obsessed by time since I got my first watch at the age of six. I kept staring at it until I knew what time it was without even looking at it.

If you raise the first tag you see the entire second tag with three words-love, moments and memories.

The flower cluster is made with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, pearls from a local store, heartpins from Inkido and lace from Magnolia.

The third tag symbolises the city of Gothenburg where I spend a lot of time. It´s like a second home to me and I truely like that city. It says Göteborg on the tag which is the Swedish name of the city.

The fourth tag has a sentence. “Dream of tomorrow, remember yesterday and live today.” I live by my schedule and I am very bad at living in the presence. I´m always on my way somewhere else. So this is a little reminder.

The fifth tag holds things that are most important to me. Friends, health, nature, traveling, serenity and animals.

All papers are from Pion Design and have been distressed with Distress Ink Pumice Stone.

I usually tell colleagues that are stressed out that all you really must do is breath. So this is me telling myself what´s most important in life…

Gabrielle tags

The day after ESC… We made it to top 3, but the only thing in the Azerbaijan contribution that wasn´t Swedish were the singers. Otherwise the composers, choreographer, back up singers and clothing designer were Swedish. So I guess it feels a bit like we won anyway. :)

I made these two tags as ct projects for The Flying Unicorn. Don´t forget it´s still free INTERNATIONAL shipping.

I have used the gorgeous Gabrielle collection from Bo Bunny. The flower and bling is from Prima, the metal flower is bought at a local store. No idea what brand it is.

Flower from Prima, bling from Zva Creative. The heartpins are from Inkido, lace from Magnolia. The edge punch is from Martha Stewart (Doily Lace).

I have used Distress Ink Walnut Stain on both tags.

I´m still fighting my stubborn cold, must visit a doctor tomorrow. Have a great Sunday, I´m of to bed.
