I’ve been spending a lot of time in the woods this summer. I’ve been walking through fields of yummy blueberries every day and dived into them for a snack. They inspired me to make some cup cakes and I’ve also made a template and a little tutorial for you…
I used the Fika collection by Maja Design. I made them in five different colours- brown (muffins), green (pears), blue (blueberries), dark purple (blackberries) and lilac (tea cups).
Here’s the brown one…
And finally lilac.
So here’s a little tutorial on how to make these cupcakes.
Cut out the template on a 6×6 patterned paper using the template below. (Click on it and save the larger image.)
Distress all edges.
Fold the flap so the flap to the right overlaps it.
Continue with the following flaps until you have glued the entire cup together.
Cute isn’t it?
Create a ball out of tulle and newspaper, bubble wrap or whatever you have at hand.
Cut out the middle of a 4″ doily and glue it on the cup. Attach the ball.
Now it’s time for decoration. Use whatever you have. Ribbons, flowers, leaves, buttons. Use your imagination and have some fun. Here’s what the decorations looks like on the lilac cupcake I just made…
