This months Mood Board is so full of spring and Easter. I thought it very appropriate to create an Easter decoration out of it…
I’ve used a mix of 12×12 papers and 6×6 papers. Large yellow flower by Magnolia, Purple one from Prima. I’ve layered the lace to get a nice effect with different colours of lace. The bobbinet has been painted white and got some ribbon. The textures on the background has been made with a Prima stencil and Shimmerz Texturez. The birdsnest was attached to a wreath I bought a couple of years ago. The checked ribbon is from Blomsterhallen (so is the yellow one) and the lace from Michaels. Fabric from JoAnn’s and yellow flower by Prima.
I like to put some detailed papers in the boxes. The white metal corner is from a LSS. The branch (Prima) contained pink flowers that I cut off and replaced with yellow ones instead (Magnolia). The feather is from Blomsterhallen, chipboard butterfly by Scrap FX. The butterfly has been painted with Gesso, then applied with Glimmer Glam Hayride and Distress Ink Pumice Stone. This cute little chicken has had it’s trauma in life. Our cat has slaughtered it 15 times or so. There’s nothing like a feather ball in your mouth. Especially when you are not allowed. So now it’s been saved. I’ve layered lace on two places on this project. Gives it an extra touch. The gorgeous flower in the middle is from a new favourite collection of mine, Tatiana by Prima. Just love. Stamps from Prima, so are all the flowers. This butterfly chipboard has had the same treatment as the other. So has the Prima window. The pearl decoration is by Tim Holtz. The last little box with a rooster. The yellow ribbon is by Webster’s Pages.
