Who can sail without the wind… March Mood Board

Welcome to a gloomy grey Saturday. I’ve been painting and cooking all morning (like that’s news), but now I finally have some time to publish my Mood Board creation for March. But first an extra congrats to sweet Nicola who won all the four Vintage Basics collections this morning. Have fun dear!

So  here’s my take on this months board…seglaI shot this photo outside the castle Läckö that is situated on a peninsula in lake Vänern. This Mood Board is a bit sad since the song it’s based on is rather depressing. I remember when my teacher forced us to sing it at school. I nearly cried everytime. I’m hopeless in that matter. So here’s the Mood Board for this month.

I have used Vintage Spring Basics, except for the background, for this Mood Board. The background was made with 1904 from Vintage Summer Basics. Together with a lot of PanPastels (520.8 Ultramarine Blue Tint) and Tim Holtz stamps.segla3I love the stripes that comes along with the Maja papers. Highly useful like here. (The butterflies and the text.) I have used 3rd-7th of April for this layout.segla2Very simple. Some distress ink, scrap pieces of paper, tissue tape, a flower and a piece of string.segla4My layouts tend to be packed with Tim Holtz stuff, this one is no exception… Ball chain, all the tissue tapes, film strip, flower dies and metal decorations are by Mr Holtz. (I heard he actually came by the Maja booth at CHA this year and I wasn’t there-bummer!)

I think the blue PanPastel really adds something extra to the background. The butterflies has been cut out of one of the stripes.segla5And a final close-up…

I really hope you got inspired to join our Mood Board where you can win a Maja collection of your own choice. This Mood Board expires March 26th so you have plenty of time.

I’ll see if I can finish one of my many mini-albums in my bad conscience paper wagon this afternoon.Jenny
